We are also launching the shoe box gift collection in the Netherlands for the fourth year in a row. This is a Christmas charity for orphans and children in need in Hungary, so that they can all have gifts under the Christmas tree.
In the first year, we collected 250 boxes, in 2019 1,300 boxes, and last year 850 boxes together with you, making us the largest foreign donator country for the second year in a row! Let it be no different this year!
Find an empty shoe box, choose how old young children you want to give a donation; little girl or boy, and fill the box full of lovely gifts. Pack your box and drop it off at one of our collection points.
First of all find an empty shoe box in good condition.
Decide how old boy or girl you want your gift to be.
Fill the shoe box with gifts (toys, stationery, hygiene items, sweets, books).
Wrap the finished gift package in colored wrapping paper (the top and the bottom of each box are inspected individually for safety reasons) and then tape it with transparent tape or tie it with string.
Write on the box clearly what age girl or boy you want your gift for. (E.g. “boy 12” or “girl 8”)
Send the completed gift package to one of the shoe box collection points by December 5 at the latest.
People all over the world start putting together gifts in shoeboxes in November, but not everyone has the opportunity to take them to a collection point, or they may have no idea what to put in the box or are just too busy, so we wanted to make it easier.
Just like last year, we are organizing an online cash collection in addition to collecting the boxes, and then with a team of volunteers, we will put together as many packages worth 10 euros as we can, making sure that all ages (0-14) have a gift package.
Between 1st November and 5th December, you can send a donation by clicking on the link below.
